Verista Soccer Spain("we", "us", "the Academy"), located in Xàtiva, Valencia, Spain, is responsible for the processing of your personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / RGPD, Regulation EU 2016/679) and the Spanish Ley Orgánica de Protección de Datos Personales y Garantía de los Derechos Digitales (LOPD-GDD).

2. What Data We Collect

We collect personal data that you voluntarily provide when:

  • Submitting an application form (first name, last name, email, phone/WhatsApp, age, program preference, country and city)
  • Contacting us via email, WhatsApp or phone
  • Interacting with our website (cookies, usage data)

We do not collect sensitive data (race, health, religion) unless strictly necessary for medical or dietary requirements during your stay, and only with your explicit consent.

3. Purpose and Legal Basis

  • Application evaluation — to assess suitability for our programmes (legal basis: pre-contractual measures, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR)
  • Programme administration — to manage enrolment, accommodation, training, education and travel logistics (contractual necessity)
  • Communication — to respond to enquiries and send programme updates (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR)
  • Legal compliance — to comply with Spanish visa, insurance and safeguarding requirements (legal obligation, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR)

4. Minors (Under 18)

A significant portion of our participants are under the age of 18. We collect personal data of minors only with the express consent of a parent, legal guardian or tutor. Parents and guardians may request access to, rectification of, or deletion of their child's data at any time by contacting team@veristasoccer.com.

5. Media and Photography

During programmes, we may capture photographs, videos and testimonials of participants for promotional purposes, including our website, social media channels and marketing materials. For participants under 18, we obtain prior written consent from a parent or legal guardian via a media release form.

You may revoke media consent at any time in writing to team@veristasoccer.com. Revocation applies to future use only; content already published may be removed upon request where technically feasible.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We may share data with:

  • Our partner education institutions (British School Valencia, University of Valencia, local Spanish schools) for enrolment and academic coordination
  • Spanish football clubs and federations for player registration and competitive league fixtures
  • Accommodation providers and transport services as necessary for programme delivery
  • Legal authorities when required by Spanish or EU law

All third-party data processors are contractually bound to handle your data in accordance with GDPR.

7. International Data Transfers

Our website is hosted on Vercel (servers in the EU and US). Application data submitted via our forms is processed in the EU. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we ensure adequate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions) are in place.

8. Data Retention

Application data is retained for up to 24 months after the end of the relevant programme, or until you request deletion, whichever comes first. Data required for legal or accounting obligations may be retained longer as mandated by Spanish law.

9. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under EU and Spanish data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deleteyour data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restrict processing in certain circumstances
  • Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing

To exercise these rights, email team@veristasoccer.com with a copy of your identification. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD) at www.aepd.es.

This website uses only essential, functional cookies required for the site to operate (session management, form state). We do not use third-party tracking, advertising or analytics cookies. No cookie consent banner is required under EU ePrivacy Directive for strictly necessary cookies.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

This privacy policy is governed by the laws of Spain and the European Union, including the GDPR (Regulation EU 2016/679) and the Spanish LOPD-GDD (Ley Orgánica 3/2018). Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Xàtiva, Valencia, Spain.
